Microsoft have announced to new handsets, the KIN One and KIN Two, which are pretty ’kin exciting - not to put too fine a point on it.
The KIN One and KIN Two handsets will be launched via Vodafone and are aimed at the younger market. They are especially interesting for those people into social networking as the phones offers a number of facilities.
Due for launch in May, further details have emerged about the new handsets. The KIN One model is a more compact version and it has a capacitive touchscreen spanning 2.6 inches. It works on a QVGA resolution and includes as standard Wi-Fi, GPS and an accelerometer.
Also included are Bluetooth 2.1, a USB 2.0 port and 4GB of internal memory. The obligatory camera comes in at a respectable 5-megapixels and features anti-shake and a dual flash as standard.
The KIN Two has a larger internal memory at 8GB and the display is also bigger at 3.4in with 320 x 480 pixels. This version sports a very impressive 8-megapixels and it has a larger battery.
Microsoft Germany released the details about the KIN phones on the German Facebook site, although the UK contingent has been quiet about any further details of the phones. The Germans have explained that the phones are manufactured by Sharp and come with slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Both phones are said to feature the same series of KIN online and connected services. Nothing has been said yet about the pricing of the new KIN phones or of the location where they will be distributed first.
