Swift Demand for T-Mobile Dash 3G

Swift Demand for T-Mobile Dash 3G T-Mobile has today announced the latest advancement of the popular Dash mobile with the introduction of the Dash 3G. The original Dash came out a couple of years ago, but its new and improved big brother, the Dash 3G will be T-Mobile's first 3G Microsoft Windows mobile phone.

The new phone is greatly anticipated and will nestle in nicely alongside tipped to join the ranks of other newly launched mobile phones. These include the Palm Pre and the Apple iPhone 3G S.

T-Mobile’s Dash 3G is their first mobile phone fitted with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Edition operating system. The phone is an impressive update on the earlier version with a sleeker look and extensive applications. Details are still fairly limited but it is known the new mobile phone will feature a QVGA (320 x 240 pixel resolution) display, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2-megapixel camera. The mobile phone also offers a full QWERTY keyboard for ease of use and navigation.

Gearlog.com has described the mobile phone and its predecessor, stating: “The Dash was sort of a BlackBerry-without-BlackBerry, an inexpensive smart phone focused on messaging that leveraged Microsoft's decent text messaging client and terrific Exchange e-mail support. The Dash 3G is the same, but better-looking and 3G.”

The new smartphone is being launched to rival the HTC Snap, which is being introduced to the market by Sprint Nextel later this month.

The Dash 3G mobile phone should be available at the end of July. T-Mobile has said that pricing is not yet available. The mobile phone company also stated their new Android mobile phones would be unveiled next month.
