Samsung Working On Budget Phone

Samsung Working On Budget Phone A new touchscreen design is the feature of the new Samsung mobile phone which is to be released to the budget end of the market.

As yet, the new mobile only goes by a number, not a name but the S3370 is said to include a range of features that belies its price range. According to reports on the Mobile Choice website, the new S3370 offers 3G for fast data transfer, as well as a TouchWiz user interface.

Bluetooth connectivity for wireless accessories is also included as well as a built in camera. There is no word on the strength of the camera so far.

The new phone also has a 2.8 inch touchscreen of a QVGA resolution. According to the Slashgear website, this may be a budget phone, likely to be priced around the €100 mark, but it does offer quality to the company’s Windows Phone 7 Series.

Samsung has a lot of new releases coming onto the market in the coming months including the S7070 Diva and Samsung Wave. As touchscreens become the new standard of mobile technology, Samsung is pushing for even its budget phones to use touchscreen interfaces.

However, with so many new units on the market, differentiating models is becoming tricky, both for consumers and writers. In a bid to capture each niche of the market, Samsung may actually harm its market penetration by confusing users with a baffling array of models.

The price tag of the S3370 could swing votes in its favour, depending on what other features the phone incorporates into the budget model, but this may pull customers away from some of Samsung’s other offerings.
