Real Football Manager rockets into mobile games chart
The highest new entry in Game Mobile's top 20 mobile games chart is the 2009 edition of Real Football Manager.
With the recent high-profile departure of Premier League managers such as Kevin Keegan and Alan Curbishley many people would ask, "Who wants to be a football club boss these days?"
Well it seems that plenty of mobile owners would and they have ensured that the game, this week's fifth most popular based on global sales, is a big success.
The game features 200 clubs and more than 4,000 up-to-date player licences. It offers gamers the chance to manage all aspects of your chosen club - from training to interacting with the press.
Championship Manager 2008 now looks a little out of date, but is still in eighth place in the chart, down from last week's number four.
Some gamers have complained that this game only lets you manage Premier League teams but with England's finest contributing three of last year's four Champion's League semi-finalists, who cares?!
None of the football games that have charted feature managing players' downtime, which can often involve lounging by the pool with a bevy of beauties and topping up tans.
That's pretty much the theme of Playboy Games Pool Party, which is another new entry at 13.
The game gives you a prized pass to participate in the non-stop parties at the Playboy Mansion and create a Playboy playmate of your invention.
By completing challenges laid down by the playmates you can win goodies for the Playboy editor.
This week's number one is still Guitar Hero III Mobile which was released in June and is still going strong.
Judy Nails or Axel Steel (sound familiar G'n'R fans?) are the two main characters in this game. Thumb your mobile buttons to play in three different venues and master the perfect guitar solo.
It is possible that Million Dollar Poker featuring Gus Hansen could soon be number one though. It is in third place, moving up from fifth.
