Orange to offer free charging at Glastonbury
Mobile phone users attending this year's Glastonbury festival will have one less thing on their mind this time around, as Orange has vowed to allow festival-goers the chance to recharge their phones in an environmentally-friendly way.
Taking off from the popular experiment last year which included portable wind-chargers, Orange will this year offer both wind and solar power in its 'REcharge Pod'.
Mobile users will be able to turn up to the tent and have their handsets charged, so long as it's windy or sunny enough - so there should be no problem, regardless of what the weather decides to do.
Head of partnerships at Orange UK, Hattie Magee, announced: "We've been involved in some great promotions and innovations and 2008 is sure to deliver even more amazing stories and experiences from the farm.
"It may have rained at the festival over the last few years but it'll take more than that to dampen the spirits of the UK festival-goers," she added.
The phone charging availability will come as a welcome relief to those festival-goers who are likely to take an old handset to the mud-soaked festival, as they are afraid off damaging their newest hardware.

REcharge Pod - Glastonbury Festival
The Orange REcharge Pod at the Glastonbury Festival was an excellent idea. I couldn't have used my phone without it. I was in there charging my phone a few times. Well done Orange.
