Orange and T-Mobile Merger Creates Everything Everywhere

Orange and T-Mobile Merger Creates Everything Everywhere The telecom giants Orange and T-Mobile have officially merged. The partnership, which was announced a few months back, has finally come into being.

Under the name of Everything Everywhere, the two companies have integrated with one another to create the UK’s biggest communications company. However, they are eager to say that the brands will still run as two separate entities. Running alongside each other, the brands will still have separate offers and exclusive handsets. The iPhone 4 will still remain an Orange-only device.

T-Mobile and Orange customers will get improved network coverage as a result of the partnership, with users soon being able to roam across both networks.

Tom Alexander, chief executive of Everything Everywhere, said in a recent press release: "The formal integration of our new company, Everything Everywhere Limited, is another major milestone and reflects the rapid progress we have made over the past nine months. Today we have created the country’s biggest communications company, and as the new leader in the industry, it is our aspiration to give our customers instant access to the world around them, to everything everywhere, through both of our brands, Orange and T-Mobile."

In another press release the company said that they predict an increase in productivity by up to 15 per cent. Martin Stiven, vice-president of business at Everything Everywhere, said: "Our aim is to significantly increase our business customer base by making the most of our resources and the Orange and T-Mobile brands to target the diverse business audience. We will offer services based on the way businesses want to buy from us."

Following the merger, the company’s headquarters will go under rebranding and will carry the official logo for Everything Everywhere.

Hello

I work at Orange and have lots of people leaving Orange to go to T-Mobile as a threat! Laughable.

Hope our jobs are secure

I work for the corporate support team at T-Mobile in Scotland and just hope all staff are safe in our sector on both sides. We were briefed last Thursday and it seems like T-Mobile business staff will end up supporting both T-Mobile and Orange customers eventually after the customer's current contracts are expired.

O2 worker

We're not worried one bit. Bring it on. Voda and O2 still rule the world. And regarding the iPhone4, O2 has had it for weeks now for already contracted customers. But will be available for everyone else by the end of July.

Just got two new phones from T-Mobile, personal and business. Both came to a lot cheaper than O2.

When will I notice the difference?

I don't have 3G reception on my new iPhone 4 but T-Mobile say they are merging with Orange. When will I see the difference then?

Level of service! What will be EE's service level?

T-Mobile's customer service, which was good, now could deteriorate to Orange's level of service! I use both. As a business user, I better look at O2 or Voda!

Signa3 network

I don't care what network I am on, as long as it's not 3. The signal is useless and some days no service. Worst network - shocking.
