Opera Mini Internet Browsing Updated

Opera Mini Internet Browsing Updated The new Opera Mini 5.1 update will make surfing the web easier and faster for users of less advanced phones.

With the recent surge in smartphone sales, the focus on less capable and low-end feature phones has been pushed aside. Internet browsing, now one of the simplest functions on the latest handsets, is primarily the job of Opera Mini on inexpensive devices.

Opera Mini 5.1 brings a host of new features to its mobile consumers. Multiple windows can now be activated for users to view a variety of websites at once, due to the newly-optimised browser skin. Traversing the pages is also greatly improved, with quicker scrolling speeds complimented by the general enhancement of the browser.

Opera currently holds the title of the world's most popular mobile browser, being loaded onto roughly 3,000 different mobile phone models. Its high performance and functionality are contributing factors to its success and combined 61 million users.

The newest update is designed with Nokia consumers in mind. The Nokia S40 series is a low-end range with limited memory, and will still be able to handle the update. The Sony Ericsson K550i and W810i handsets are also recommended to receive the update.

Pay As You Go customers will also benefit from Opera Mini 5.1. The loading speed for sites is increased by data compression, which reduces data costs significantly.

The CEO of Opera Software, Lars Boilesen, stated: "The goal with Opera Mini is to make the web available to anyone, anywhere, regardless of where they come from or the handset they have."
