O2 Receives Award for Best Technology Services Provider
Mobile and broadband operator O2 UK received the Best Technology Services Provider in the Which? Awards this weeky.
Which? recognised the operator in favour of competitors such as Plusnet and Utility Warehouse at its awards ceremony.
The shortlisted candidates all fell within technology providing categories such as mobile phone services, broadband, home phones, and TV. O2’s award was based upon the excellence of its standalone broadband and mobile phone services.
Another factor that contributed to this success is consistently good performance in customer satisfaction surveys conducted by Which?, according to a report by Cable.co.uk.
Indeed, O2 has scored well on several customer service surveys. The 2010 uSwitch broadband customer satisfaction report for example found that O2 was at the top of 10 out of 11 categories. In addition, a J.D. Power & Associates 2010 ISP Customer Satisfaction survey placed the provider first in its category.
Part of this satisfaction is doubtlessly consistent with the perception of value for money when investing in O2 products. It is the only provider to score five out of five stars in this category.
The CEO of Which?, Peter Vicary-Smith, said: “To win a Which? Award, not only must a company offer outstanding products or services, it must also deliver exceptional value and a great customer experience.”
Mr. Vicary-Smith believed that O2 was a “deserved” winner, as it so obviously meets all the requirements of the award with an excellence that far outshines its competitors. O2 is also competing with providers such as Virgin Media for this year’s Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA) awards.
