Nokia and Spider-Man join forces

Nokia and Spider-Man join forces Nokia hopes to scale new heights of success by offering a pre-loaded, full-length version of the Spider-Man 3 film on the Nokia N95 8GB phone, which the Finnish company started shipping today.

European owners of the multimedia device will be able to watch the movie, which sees Spider-Man's suit turn jet black, endowing him with new super powers.

The Nokia N95 8GB has undergone a makeover of its own, on its sleek black exterior is a large 2.8 inch QVGA display and its 'extras' include 8GB internal memory and superior speakers.

Dedicated media keys give the phone a double life as a DVD player with play, pause and search functions.

"With its ground-breaking features users can now fully appreciated the meaning of entertainment-on-the-go," said Ilkka Raiskiner, senior vice president of multimedia experiences at Nokia.

The phone is an upgrade of the popular Nokia N95 and includes a Spider-Man 3 ring-tone and screen saver.

No Spider-Man phone could be complete without web-access and the Nokia N95 8GB has enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity to enable this.

The company has announced that the phone will be priced at €560 (£391), before taxes or subsidies.
