New Pay-As-You-Go Tariff from Virgin
Virgin has come up with a brand new offer that will be tempting to many who are regular users of the internet on their mobiles, frequently send texts and do not wish to be tied to a contract. To users prepared to top-up £20 a month this could be a welcome deal, according to Which?.
Of course, there has to be an upper limit and in the case of texts there is a ceiling of 3,000 texts a month. After this there is a charge per text of 10p.
The maximum amount of internet usage allowed is 25MB in order to qualify for the deal, while the monthly download limit is 1GB. Thereafter, it costs 30p a day to access the internet on the mobile.
Users who top-up £15 earn 600 texts per month, while £10 top-ups qualify for 300 free monthly texts. Voice minutes are not included in the offer, and calls are charged at a flat rate of 20p to mobile phones and landlines.
Users who prefer to keep their current mobile handset can do so and ask for a free pay-as-you go SIM card. However, they have to pay a fee in order to have it unlocked to other networks.
There’s a special welcoming deal available to new customers who top-up straightaway with £10. They qualify for a month’s free allowance in addition to the usual allowance on the first day of the following month.
The deal comes with a choice of 34 pay-as-you-go mobile phone handsets from as little as £14.99 with the most expensive costing £249.
