Most Brits just use their mobiles for texts and calls
Sixty per cent of Brits are only using their mobile for texts and calls, according to new research.
The news could be a surprise to manufacturers who are always putting more sophisticated buttons and services on their latest models.
According to the survey by SNAPIN Software, 30 per cent of respondents explained their caution by saying they were concerned about being charged extra.
Eighteen per cent of respondents said they 'could not be bothered' with deciphering the instruction manual.
Only one per cent of mobile phone users had ever blogged using their device, while just three per cent had used snazzy street navigation facilities common on many new phones.
People were braver with camera facilities, with 30 per cent taking mobile snaps and sending photos, though just 12 per cent make use of email or internet access on their phones.
The results will back up claims by industry analysts that there is still a market for no-frills phones in the UK - as well as leading to calls for simpler tariffs to encourage customers confused by their bill charges.
