LG and Prada Team Up For Third Phone

LG and Prada Team Up For Third Phone Italian fashion label Prada has renewed its partnership with mobile phone makers LG five years after the first phone they co-developed, the LG KE850.

The renewal came in the form of a signing ceremony in Seoul earlier today. Prada Phone by LG 3.0 will be the product of this linking, expected to launch early next year.

LG acts as Prada's exclusive mobile phone partner and with two premium phones under their belt the third will simply follow suit – focusing on key elements such as software, user interface, design and packaging.

The first phone released from the company partnership was described as "a pioneer in the mobile phone space, was an unqualified success, selling over one million units”. On display at both Shanghai's Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and NYC's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), it is regarded as a piece of telecommunications history and in the permanent collections."

Patrizio Bertelli, Chief Executive Officer of Prada, commented "The partnership between Prada and LG has always been characterised by an innovative approach and uncompromised quality of style, design and breakthrough technology."

"These values are common to both our brands, which have always anticipated, and often set, the trends in many fields. We were therefore delighted to cooperate again with LG in the development of the latest creation of the mobile communication industry."

Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG, added "Our working relationship with PRADA is unique in its longevity and success, something no other phone company and luxury brand have been able to replicate... Having successfully launched two PRADA phones by LG, we look forward to collaborating further to develop premium handsets with a strong identity and the most sophisticated style."
