LG Adds Two More Treats to the Cookie Jar

LG Adds Two More Treats to the Cookie Jar LG is constantly adding new options to the mix and this month, has launched two new models to add to the renowned Cookie collection.

The LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) and LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290) both have interesting features including LG’s LiveSquare feature. This is an animated user interface that uses avatars to represent the contacts that you use the most. Thus it is easier and fun to keep track with the conversations you have had.

It made sense for LG to expand its range of Cookie mobiles as the original Cookie mobile phone has sold over 13 million units since it was first launched.

The new LG Cookie Plus has faster 3G data speeds than the Cookie Fresh and has a decent 3 megapixel camera. By comparison, the Cookie Fresh has EDGE data speeds and the camera specification is only 2 megapixels.

The value of the Cookie Fresh lies in its aesthetic appearance however. According to a report on the Mobile Choice website, this nifty new phone has “a comfy soft outer grip.” It comes in a range of 16 different colours.

Both phones are able to download a variety of applications including eBay and Amazon Search which are available from the LG Widget Gallery. There is no word on pricing as yet, though the word is that both the LG Cookie Plus and the LG Cookie Fresh will be hitting the market sometime later this month.
