A Festival of Handsets for Virgin and Nokia

A Festival of Handsets for Virgin and Nokia Virgin Media and Nokia have teamed up to launch two new V Festival handsets.

Available from July, the successful 5230 and X6 have received makeovers. Both perfect partners for festival goers, the phones come loaded with software. The V Festival App is the key application and acts as a hub of information for the annual music event.

News and updates also appear on the screen so users are on top of what is going on around the festival. Shazam music identifier and free satnav come pre-installed on the devices. The GPS-enabled maps of both sites mean that you shouldn’t get lost. Exclusive wallpapers and social networking integration are also on board.

With a custom back red cover, the new 5230V is sure to stand out from the crowd. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen plus a 2MP camera. An FM radio is another of the device's handy additions for keeping you entertained between acts.

With an extra 10 free tracks from the Nokia store, this phone packs more than enough for music fans.

The higher end Nokia X6V comes with a 5MP camera and music mixing software. The wide touchscreen also displays an 8-bar graphic equaliser when listening to tracks. The 16:9 ratio screen is also perfect for watching music videos or any videos recorded at the V Festival.

The dedicated media bar on top of the phone also gives one touch access to photos and music. With an extra-long battery life of 420 hours in standby time, the phone should easily last for the period of the festival.

Hmm...

... and how long does the battery last with all those apps running, accessing online data, while away from electrical points for three days?
