3 and ZTE Collaborate on F930 Handset

3 and ZTE Collaborate on F930 Handset The handset manufacturer ZTE is releasing the F930 handset. Co-branded with 3, the device is aimed at the 18 to 25-year-old age group.

Claiming to offer "enhanced connectivity and sleek design at an affordable price", the handset features HSDPA for swift navigation of the web. Released on 3's Internet Texter and Internet Talker plan, the device comes with unlimited internet and access to Skype as standard.

Beneath the slick 2.7-inch touchscreen lies A-GPS technology for improved navigation performance. Also on board is a 3MP camera with dual LED flash, perfect for snapping photos for Facebook.

Wu Sa, director of mobile device operations at ZTE UK, had this to say: "Design is key and new handsets entering the market ought to be tailored to the requirements of a specific audience."

She added: "The F930 handset launch exemplifies this trend towards customisation; young consumers are interested in fashionable phones with a chic, modern design and high-quality applications. However, design and functionality need to be wrapped up in an affordable package. ZTE is helping 3 UK conquer this market with the ultimate cost effective, fashionable handset."

Head of the 3's own-brand handsets, David Moore, said: "We're pleased to be launching the ZTE F930. Whether you're into Facebook or Skype this is a great touchscreen handset. When paired with our strong 3G network, the ZTE F930 gives our customers even more choice when picking their mobile internet phone."

In order to promote the handset, 3 is running a competition to win the device along with a designer leather handbag. The bespoke bag will then be customised to the winner's taste, reflecting the handset's focus on customisation.
