2 Androids, 1 BlackBerry Hit Vodafone

2 Androids, 1 BlackBerry Hit Vodafone Three new mobile devices have been made available on the Vodafone network. LG’s newest handset, the LG Optimus, will join the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro and the BlackBerry Pearl 3G as part of Vodafone’s new range.

The delivery has proven to be a double coup for Android, with both the Optimus and the X10 running the operating system. Vodafone has claimed that the arrival will ensure "even more choice of affordable Android devices for customers".

The X10, one of the most compact phones available on the market, also offers Timescape for social networking ease. Featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, the handset costs nothing if the consumer opts for a 24-month price plan, which includes 100 minutes of talk time, 500 megabytes of mobile data and 500 free texts.

The LG Optimus may be purchased on the same deal, and is particularly inexpensive for a smartphone of the Optimus’ calibre. Vodafone proudly stated: "The Optimus is packed full of great functionality, such as the ability to geo-tag and face-tag of photos – meaning you’ll always know where you took the shots and who was there with you."

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G comes on a different deal, with 500 megabytes of mobile data and 300 free minutes, though still on the 24-month plan. A return to basics for BlackBerry, the phone features an optical trackpad and traditional numeric keypad, in stark contrast with its usual choice of a QWERTY keyboard.

"The compact smartphone offers lightning fast email and web browsing on the go and features a new keypad design," stated Vodafone.
